YOUR FRAME
At Artistic Mementos, we want to create an artwork for you that is as close as possible to what you want and how you want to display it.
For example, you may have picked up a nice olde worlde frame at an antique auction or even a junk shop. You may like to use this for mounting your artisitc memento to enhance that grand master look and feel.
If that is the case, please tell us the physical dimensions, particularly of the visible window portion. We can then adjust the size of the artwork in relation to the main subject matter so that it sits in the visible window in the most balanced, comfortable way.
Avoid a situation like the head of your portrait having to be cut into by the edge of the mount board's window. This would force you to get a frame/mountboard custom-made.
If you give us the right details, we will ensure that your artwork arrives ready to pop into the frame you have already bought. It will have the correct amount of clearance and achieve good balance.
On the order form, there is a place to request that your artistic memento be dimensioned to suit a specific window size. This must be accompanied by the actual width and depth of the window. If there is mount board, specify the dimensions of the visible window allowed by the frame.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WINDOW SIZE
The alternative is to leave the exact dimensions to our artists and search for a frame that suits your artwork, or have a frame custom-made, after you have received the artwork from us. A picture framer can do a much nicer job if they have the picture in front of them. |
